Tabernacl, Penrhyndeudraeth

Who Are We?

We are a Bible-believing independent church that has been active in the Porthmadog and Penrhyndeudraeth area since 1975. We are made up of young and old, English and Welsh speakers and we exist to glorify Jesus by living lives that honour Him and telling others about Him.

What Do We Believe?

In the core truths of Biblical and historic Christianity. The one God who created everything has so loved guilty and rebellious humanity that he sent his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to die in our place to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus has risen from the dead, will return in glory, and is the universe’s rightful King and ruler to whom everyone must bow. Each of us needs to respond to Jesus in repentance and faith. When we do this God gives us new life by his Holy Spirit and we become part of God’s family, the church.

What Do We Do?

We meet together on Sundays to worship God by singing, praying, hearing the Bible read and explained, and encouraging each other in our faith. We run a Sunday School and activities for young people during the week. We pray regularly for the people of this area. We also run events for people to find out what real Christianity is all about, like one-off informal meetings and in-depth courses.

We organise a Christmas box appeal for the children in Penrhyn as well as for Tabernacl.
